E100-UV1™

Elite Crete Systems E100-UV1™ has been engineered and formulated with the highest quality available. Unlike many other manufactures that promote and advertise 100% solid epoxy floor coatings, this product does not have any solids filler in the formulation, making it one of the few truly solid 100% resin epoxies available.

Like E100-PT1™, E100-UV1™ also has excellent air releasing capabilities and is also a 100% self priming and self levelling epoxy floor coating with virtually no odour and no VOC’s (Volatile Organic Compounds).

E100-UV1™ epoxy resin can be used to protect interior concrete micro toppings, polymer modified overlays, concrete flooring, concrete floors that have been coloured and stained with CHEM-STONE™ Acid Stain, HYDRA-STONE™ Concrete Dye, ULTRA-STONE™ Waterborne Stain, as a top coat to E100-PT4™ coloured epoxy as well as a carrier for REFLECTOR Enhancer™ flooring systems and numerous other concrete flooring applications. E100-UV1™ can also be used as a slurry or as a binder for an epoxy mortar system.

Being a crystal clear epoxy resin and also being slightly higher in viscosity in comparison to E100-PT1™ makes E100-UV1™ the preferred epoxy resin of choice when installing REFLECTOR ENHANCER™ epoxy floors. With both component A and component B mixed thoroughly together the viscosity of E100-UV1™ is 600 cps.

The coverage rate for E100-UV1™ epoxy resin is conditional on the profile and porosity of the substrate, method of application and the selected film thickness of the coating. Most typically the coverage rate of E100-UV1™ is from 2.4 to 3 square meters per litre. When used as the resin of choice for REFLECTOR ENHANCER™ epoxy floors, E100-UV1™ has a typical coverage rate of 1.4 to 2 square meters per litre. It is possible to apply and build E100-UV1™ at thicker applications than this and it is not uncommon to use E100-UV1™ in a single coat well above 1000 microns.

The curing schedule of E100-UV1™ in atmospheric conditions of 24° with a relative humidity of 50% is:

Tack free in 5 hours time

Light foot traffic in 8 hours time

Heavy traffic in 12 hours time

With a 7 day ambient cure (24° with a relative humidity of 50%), E100-UV1™ epoxy resin has a compressive strength of 98 MPa, tensile strength of 48 MPa, flexural strength of 55 MPa and a Shore D hardness of 87.

Optional but highly recommend protective top coats for E100-UV1™ are AUS-V™ Aliphatic Urethane Sealer and AUS-HD™ Heavy Duty Single Component Urethane which both increase scratch and abrasion resistance.

Heavy Duty Single Component Moisture Cure Urethane

Elite Crete Systems AUS-HD™ Heavy Duty Single Component Chemical Resistant Urethane Sealer is an economical, clear, single component, solvent borne, moisture cure, aromatic polyurethane that is available in a high gloss or satin finish.

AUS-HD™ chemical resistant urethane was designed to be used on conventional concrete, concrete micro toppings, as a protective top coat to epoxy flooring, flake and quartz floor top coating and a number of other decorative concrete protective coating applications. AUS-HD™ is not just limited to use with concrete but can also be used as a sealer for soft or hardwood timber floors, bowling alleys, etc.

AUS-HD™ is a chemical resistant coating that has excellent scratch resistance and is unaffected by many common solvents, skydrol fluids and jet fuels, making it a suitable protective sealer for airplane hanger floors, industrial workshops, parking garages and many other commercial and industrial flooring applications.

The coverage rate for AUS-HD™ varies and is dependant upon the porosity and profile of the substrate as well as the method of application and the desired dry film thickness. For smoother, glossier finishes it is recommend that AUS-HD™ be applied with a woven mohair roller or with a lint free mohair roller that has been designed for polyurethanes and applied with a light pressure with a coverage of 5 to 6 square meters per litre.

Atmospheric conditions should be between 15°C and 32°C with a relative humidity of at least 30%. It is important to be aware that the higher the relative humidity at the time of installation and curing of AUS-HD™, the more accelerated the curing schedule of the coating will be. AUS-HD™ is a rapid curing coating in comparison to many other polyurethanes. Surface Dry time is between 25 to 45 minutes, with a Hard Dry of 3 to 6 hours dependant on humidity, temperature and the thickness of the coating. The recoating window for AUS-HD™ is between 3 to 6 hours – if recoating outside of this time frame it is recommended that the coating be sanded and then wiped with a solvent.

It is important to note that AUS-HD™ is chemical resistant aromatic polyurethane and is not a UV stable protective coating and should not be used if UV degradation is of concern. If UV degradation is of concern, Elite Crete Systems two component AUS-V™ Aliphatic Urethane Sealer is an ideal substate.

Elite Crete Systems AUS-HD™ is a solvent borne coating and should only be used in heavily ventilated environments free of any source of ignition. If solvent fumes or VOC (volatile organic compound) restrictions prevent the use of AUS-HD™, AUS-V™ is a suitable substitute with very low odour and with only 25 grams of VOC’s per litre.

E100-UL7™ Underlayment Epoxy from Elite Crete Systems is a 100% true solid (100% resin content without any of the industry standard solids filler), two component, uncoloured, non solvent, non shrinking, VOC free, self levelling underlayment epoxy floor coating.

E100-UL7™ was engineered and designed to be used as an underlayment epoxy, scratch coat or epoxy primer coat for higher wearing and more durable coatings, such as: E100-PT1™, E100-PT4™, E100-UV1™, E100-NV4™, E100-NV5™, AUS-HD™, AUS-V™ and other superior protective coatings from Elite Crete Systems. E100-UL7™ is an economical epoxy paint system that is most commonly used as an epoxy primer coat on epoxy quartz and epoxy flake floor systems and as a binder for epoxy mortar, epoxy coving systems and as a crack repairing adhesive. E100-UL7™ is often used for industrial floors that are then coated with a high wearing, protective urethane for a durable, yet affordable seamless industrial flooring system. E100-UL7™ can be coloured on site with an optional third component Elite Crete Systems epoxy pigment.

Although E100-UL7™ comes as a clear, it will not exhibit the same crystal clear clarity or gloss reading of E100-PT1™ or E100-UV1™.

Elite Crete Systems does not recommend E100-UL7™ as a wearable protective coating, however it is recommended that E100-UL7™ be top coated with E100-PT1™, E100-PT4™, E100-UV1™, E100-NV4™, E100-NV5™ or any one of Elite Crete Systems high wear polyurethanes.

E100-UL7™ epoxy paint can be coloured on site with an optional third component Elite Crete Systems epoxy pigment.

As with all concrete coatings, E100-UL7™ coverage rates are subject to the method of application, the porosity and profile of the surface and the desired thickness of the coating. Typically E100-UL7™ is applied at 2.5 to 3.5 square meters per litre, leaving a dry film thickness between 400 to 285 microns. E100-UL7™ can be applied by a high quality, lint free mohair or lambswool roller cover, notched squeegee or a Padco Applicator.

E100-UL7™ epoxy paint has a viscosity of 700 cps when both the Part A Resin and Part B Hardener have been combined and mixed thoroughly together.

E100-UL7™ curing schedule under the atmospheric conditions of 24° C with a relative humidity of 50% is:

• Tack free in 8 hours time.
• Light foot traffic in 12 hours time.
• Heavy traffic in 16 hours time.

After 7 days and under the standard atmospheric conditions of 24° C with a relative humidity of 50%, E100-UL7™ will have 83 MPa Compressive Strength and a concrete bonding strength of 24 MPa.

SPARTIC-ALL™ is an ideal protective coating where return to service time is imperative. At 24° celsius with a relative humidity of 50%, SPARTIC-ALL™ polyaspartic coatings will have a surface dry time of 2.5 to 3.5 hours, will hard dry in 4 to 5 hours and will be mar free in 6 to 9 hours time. Because of these fast curing rates, polyaspartic formulations are often used in preference to their epoxy counterparts when time is of the essence.

The Coverage rate for SPARTIC-ALL™ RM and SL is typically from 4 square meters per litre to 6 square meters per litre, dependant on substrate porosity, texture, application technique and method. Commonly a single coat is used, however multiple coats can be used and should be considered under high demand conditions.

Although SPARTIC-ALL™ is not VOC (Volatile Organic Compound) free it has relatively low VOC emissions in comparison to the majority of protective sealers available with just 205 grams of VOC’s per litre.

Due to the nature of polyaspartic coatings, it can generally be said that polyaspartics demonstrate inferior self levelling properties in comparison to that of Elite Crete Systems 100% solids epoxies. In saying that, SPARTIC-ALL™ SL does have improved self levelling qualities over that of SPARTIC-ALL™ RM.

SPARTIC-ALL™ is frequently used for quartz flooring and flake flooring applications as well as industrial coatings for schools, supermarkets, hospitals, prisons, warehouses, storage facilities and in general on any internal concrete floors in a high traffic, high demand environment. SPARTIC-ALL™ can also be used over internal polymer modified concrete overlay systems, such as THIN-FINISH™ and TEXTURE-PAVE™. Chemical and stain resistance are high and often make SPARTIC-ALL™ a candidate coating for medical centres, veterinary clinics, food and chemical processing plants.

AUS-V™ can reduce considerably staining from materials such as grease, oil, typical food stains and numerous household chemicals as well as adding improved scratch and abrasion resistance to epoxy floor coatings. This product AUS-V™ can reduce considerably staining from materials such as grease, oil, typical food stains and numerous household chemicals as well as adding improved scratch and abrasion resistance to epoxy floor coatings. This product also helps in hiding surface imperfections.

With a very low VOC (Volatile Organic Compound) content of a mere 25 grams per litre, AUS-V™ is frequently used in place of conventional aromatic and aliphatic polyurethanes that have high solvent and VOC content and are not fitting for local, state and federal environmental regulations and conditions. AUS-V™ has virtually no odour and can be used without closing down and barricading individual zones during application and curing.

AUS-V™ is a clear protective finish that exhibits a slight eggshell texture as the finished product. With the addition of a third component, AUS-V™ AGG (aluminium oxide aggregate) a satin finish can be accomplished which will also improve scratch and slip resistance. Slip resistance can be modified to the desired level with the use of AUS- V™ AGG.

The coverage rate of AUS-V™ is between 12 and 13.5 square meters per litre. The first coat must be allowed to dry before a second coat can be applied. Additional coats have to be applied within 24 hours or a light sanding and solvent or alcohol wipe must be performed prior to an additional coat. Typically 2 to 3 coats of this product are applied to provide the highest quality protective floor finish.

A wet edge must be maintained while applying AUS-V™ in order to control roller lines and overlapping. Failure to follow the prescribed coverage rate can cause whitening and foaming if applied too thick, or alternatively, if applied too thin the coating will expose application lines and will not provide an even and consistent surface.

AUS-V™ can be applied by a high quality, non linting, lambs wool or synthetic 10mm roller cover. It can also be applied by an airless sprayer.

AUS-V™ should be applied on a surface with temperatures between 5°C and 32°C with dry atmospheric conditions present during application and curing. The floor surface must be clean and dry with no moisture, debris or impurities present at the time of installation. AUS-V™ cannot be open to heavy foot traffic until the finish has been fully cured.

Elite Crete Systems E100-PT1™ Crystal Clear Epoxy Standard and Fast Set have zero solvents, zero VOC’s, are a true 100% solid resin, 100% self levelling, two component, non shrinking, air releasing, high gloss, low odour, industrial strength resinous floor coating.

When we say true 100% solid epoxy resin we are making reference to the majority of epoxies that are marketed as a 100% solid epoxy but are in fact loaded with fillers – albeit solid fillers, so that they can accurately claim to be a 100% solid product but dramatically cut their cost and increase their profit margins. E100-PT1™ has no fillers and the result is a extremely hard wearing, crystal clear, self levelling, true resin based epoxy formula.

E100-PT1™ from Elite Crete Systems is commonly used as a protective coating for industrial floors, warehouses, garages, residential concrete floors, epoxy quartz systems, grind and seal applications, used as a binder for epoxy mortar systems, concrete floors that have been stained or dyed with HYDRA-STONE™ Dye Stain, CHEM-STONE™ Reactive Stain and ULTRA-STONE™ Antique Stain and multitude other concrete flooring applications.

Both E100-PT1™ Standard and Fast Set demonstrates exceptional air releasing capabilities as well as being a user friendly, 100% self levelling epoxy resin floor coating. E100-PT1™ can be applied by a roller, squeegee, trowel, notched trowel or Padco applicator.

The coverage rate of E100-PT1™ as an epoxy resin floor coating is determined by the porosity and profile of the surface to be coated as well as the desired film thickness and method of application. In general , base coats, primer coats or scratch coats if applied on smooth conventional concrete will cover between 2.5 to 3.5 square meters per litre which is between 400 to 285 microns. If applied on a thin stamped overlay, slate trowel down or knockdown finish will cover up to 2.5 square meters per litre.

With the two components mixed, E100-PT1™ has a viscosity of 300 cps, which is considerably less than that of E100-UV1™, making it in general a better suited epoxy resin for larger industrial and commercial sites.

The curing schedule for E100-PT1™ Standard at an ambient temperature of 24° C and relative humidity of 50% is as follows:

• Tack free in 5 to 7 hours time
• Light foot traffic in 7 to 9 hours time
• Heavy traffic in 9 to 12 hours time

The curing schedule for E100-PT1™ Fast Set at an ambient temperature of 24° C and relative humidity of 50% is as follows:

• Tack free in 3 to 4 hours time
• Light foot traffic in 4 to 6 hours time
• Heavy traffic in 6 to 8 hours time

After a 7 day ambient cure (24° C with a relative humidity of 50%), E100-PT1™ has a compressive strength of 83 MPa, tensile strength of 42 MPa, flexural strength of 52 MPa and a Shore D hardness of 89.

Elite Crete Systems has a number of aliphatic and aromatic polyurethanes that can be used on top of E100-PT1™ epoxy resin floor coatings for added chemical and abrasion resistance.

Elite Crete Systems THIN-FINISH™ is the backbone to all of Elite Crete Systems overlay products and is perhaps the most widely used polymer modified overlay system in the world today. No other overlay on the market has been able to match the performance, durability or ease of use of THIN-FINISH™ and yet maintain an economical solution.

THIN-FINISH™ is a hybrid proprietary formula that can make the claim to being the only polymer modified overlay that both chemically and mechanically adheres to concrete substrate.

When comparing quality concrete  resurfacing products by square meter cost, you can’t look past THIN-FINISH™, and when you add ease of use along with durability into the equation, nothing comes close. Many manufactures and salesman like to talk about the cost of a bag for their overlay system, what they forget to mention is that a modifier, primmer and activator are necessary for their product to perform. Here is where many contractors are mislead in believing that they are saving themselves money. What they fail to do and what the salesman of these products fails to mention is the cost of the final finish per square meter. Sure a bag of silica sand is cheap but when you have to add all of the components together and then in the case of some overlay systems add a penetrating surface primer you will find that the true cost per square meter is much higher than you may have been led to believe.

With Elite Crete Systems THIN-FINISH™ each mix is identical as the exact mix design is all already in the bag. With 10 different sized rounded silica quartz and the exact quartz to polymer ratio all already blended in the bag, little room for error is left and the time to mix components on site is reduced.

THIN-FINISH™ is designed to be installed on a damp concrete surface, this alone makes it a unique product but also a valuable system in the wetter periods of the year.

Of course speaking of cost per square meter is important but also of importance is the ease of use and the considerably less time it takes to install THIN-FINISH™. The preferred application method of THIN-FINISH™ is with a magic trowel installed on a telescopic pole, saving the applicator from working on their hands and knees. By applying THIN-FINISH™ in this method, it is possible to coat a 100 square meters in under 30 minutes.

THIN-FINISH™ can be integrally coloured with SYNTHETIC PRIMARY PIGMENT™ (SYPP) or PORTION CONTROL COLORANT™ (PCC). Other methods of colouring THIN-FINISH™ are with ULTRA-STONE™, HYDRA-STONE™ and CHEM-STONE™.

The versatility of THIN-FINISH™ is evident in its numerous applications. The final product can be a simple spray on concrete finish, knock down, broom finish, trowel on texture, hit and miss, hard troweled finish, etc. THIN-FINISH™ is also used as the base coat to TEXTURE-PAVE™, a stampable concrete overlay and MICRO-FINISH™, a super smooth concrete micro topping.

Concentrated Penetrating Concrete Dye

HYDRA-STONE™ concrete dyes are available in twenty distinct colours which can be further manipulated with HYDRA-STONE™ Reducer to create endless colouring possibilities.  It is recommended that this product be purchased from Elite Crete Australia as a dry powder pack and diluted on site with HYDRA-STONE™ Reducer for a slower/deeper penetration, or alternatively, with acetone for a quicker dry time.

HYDRA-STONE™ offers greatly improved abrasion resistance and wearability in comparison to paints, acrylic stains and typical waterborne colouring products that are coated on conventional concrete floors. Ordinarily what happens with an acrylic stain or a paint (often referred to or relabelled as a coloured concrete sealer) that has been installed on a concrete floor or surface, is that they quickly peel, flake, wear and delaminate in a relatively short period of time.  Because of the very fine sized particles of HYDRA-STONE™, the dye will penetrate into the substrate and not leave behind a film similar to a paint like coating.

The most common uses of HYDRA-STONE™ Dye Stain are on interior polymer modified concrete floors. Elite Crete Systems MICRO-FINISH™ is often coloured, accented and highlighted with HYDRA-STONE™.This product can also be used to help blend and perfect concrete that has been previously coloured with an acid stain, waterborne stain or integrally coloured and is often used as a straight out replacement to acid staining due to its ease of use that does not require the messy cleanups that can often be associated with acid stains after they have been neutralized.  Application is achieved with a pump up type sprayer, roller, HVLP gun, spray bottle, sponge, brush or a dye detailing pen.

The coverage rate for HYDRA-STONE™ on a smooth concrete floor is approximately 5.5 square meters per litre (diluted 1:1).  On a knockdown finish, coverage rate is approximately 4.5 square meters per litre (diluted 1:1).  Thin stamped concrete overlays typically will have coverage of 3.5 square meters per litre (diluted 3:1).

HYDRA-STONE™ can be left unsealed in the case of polished concrete flooring but is recommended to be sealed with Elite Crete Systems E100 series epoxies, SPARTIC-ALL™ polyaspartics or any of Elite Crete Systems high end, yet affordable aliphatic urethane sealers.
